Bree is a chameleon. It has to be her coat. Polar bears have hollow hair that reflects the sun but I don’t know of any dogs that do as well. If so, she is certainly one.
In images she either looks red or yellow. That’s because the camera is picking up the dominant color. I’m constantly trying to adjust it in photoshop to what she really looks like, but it’s a challenge.
It’s gotten to the point that I will now watch her to see what color she’ll turn next. I know you think my eyes are going, but I just had them checked; trust me, it’s her.

Standing still, she is one color. When she turns and walks away, a different hue appears. Turns again, and yet another shade!
Some days she is dark, a russet red. Others a light sandy color.
I’ve never had a dog like Bree before, on many levels. Her chameleon qualities are just one thing that makes her so special… and drives me crazy.

I’ll take your expert opinion any day.

Lance is that way. He is tecnically Blue but in sunlight when he lays a certain way he can look a Chocolate color (his daddy was seal and mommy was Chocolate).
