the only history I have seen so far is how ignorent our fellow voters and the Main Street Marketing were to put this guy in this position - This history lesson was done before. Castro and Hitler did the same thing with just a good line of bullshit, just not in the US.
Oh, the coins! Argh. They were selling coins on QVC or HSN (I can’t remember which) fairly soon after November 4th. Oy. What kills me is that they’re painting over JFK coins to make Obama coins! Ha!

The coins are old news… they were being sold before the election was even over (!) What I really hate are the stupid plates… there is a commercial for them that comes on really late at night and it. is. sad.
The commercial shows people sitting in their living rooms, worshipping their tacky plates and talking about how proud they are to “own a piece of history”…
Fragments of the Berlin Wall are pieces of history. Plates featuring Barack Obama are knick-knacks.
And what exactly has the guy done? Won an election by spouting platitudes, pandering to the stupidity of the electorate and engaging in a bit of voter fraud? That’s all been done to death. His rise to power is hardly awe-inspiring.

You know what? People seem to forget that every time we elect a president we are making history. Yup, it’s true. Every single time. Goes in the history books. Along with a bio on the Pres. And the VP. Every four years. Seriously. And yet, this is forgotten because the color of one man’s skin has blinded this country to that basic fact. Oh, and let’s not forget Hollywood. Hollywood never even bothered to read a history book, so all they could see was a chance to get a few more quotes for some of their luminaries and a chance to “be” a part of “history”.
