Arthur, still sick as a dog, decided to try to fly into the storm with his flight sim. He’s got quite the little set up, including pedals, yoke and Track IR so that when he moves his head it’s as if he does it in the plane as well.
X-Plane renders real time weather, so pictured is just north of Marathon Key, winds were 23 kts and you can see it was raining. Aircraft is a Diamond DA40.
Not the best images, as they were taken from across the room, but still. The reality is stunning on this sim. Every pilot Arthur knows says it’s just like flying the real thing and they do use it for training…!
Of course, work called looking for a Cat5e Keystone jack and some cable. AND there’s a conference call AND some forwarding AND they’re freaking out a little about the weather… as usual.

I’m so glad LD isn’t here. He’d want the same thing. Oh, I know, when I ship him off to your house, he and Arthur can fly and fly and fly in between LD running Bree into exhaustion.
