With the fourth day of the phantom session comes the arrival of former conservative House Speaker Newt Gingrich, as well as chairman of the House Republican Conference, Adam Putnam, and Minority Whip Roy Blunt who are joining their fellow Republicans in the fight to help America gain energy independence from foreign sources.

You and I both know that Nancy doesn’t care about anything except her position as Speaker. The power of it, the chunk of history she gets to carve out for herself. This is bigger than Ms. Pelosi, bigger than hijacking the country by leaving important legislation sitting idle, leaving for vacation without a vote or even debate. This is about us, the American taxpayer, and what we want!

I’m writing a letter to my Congressman, Alcee Hastings. He is not going to support the reform, but at least he’ll know what one of his constituents think. Ya know… when he gets back from vacation!
