Bree didn’t stop to chat at Buckingham palace. Entirely too much security, which is why she won’t go anywhere near President Bush until he returns to the ranch.
Look how dirty her feet are from all the globetrotting!

And now for something completely different:
A year ago I won this portrait of Tess in a contest held by the lovely Leanne at Intricate Art.
But I’m a doofus. The painting meant so much to me that I couldn’t bear to part with it, even to send it off for framing. Even though it could have been insured and another made should anything untoward happen… it wouldn’t have been the same.
For a short time I had it in an 8 x 8 frame bought at Michael’s, but that didn’t last long because I was afraid it would damage the canvas, pressed up against the glass. So I put it back in its protective sleeve.
Leanne heard about this sorry state of affairs about a week ago and let me know which frame to buy at Dick Blick and she sent me a mat to fit! Again, Leanne went above and beyond. And now I can sit at my desk and look up at Tess once again… the pictures of Zoe change, but the portrait never will.
This is what I currently see top left of my monitor:

Thank you once again, Leanne. {{Hug}}

Me too!
This spot isn’t the most visible in the house, but it’s the most visible to ME, since I sit here for so many hours a day. So that’s where she belongs.
Leanne is a sweetheart and a very talented woman. Gorgeous portrait!
As for Miss Travel Paws, she looks quite happy across the pond. I hope she sends me a postcard.
Thanks for stopping by to see me and leaving a comment. There are some really nice people out there in the world and Leanne was very nice to help. Our animals are very special to us past and present and the beautiful painting of Tess I’m sure gives you much comfort.
Amen to that, Joanie!
Hope you enjoy your new bike, Jude! Can’t wait to see the new paintjob…
“This spot isn’t the most visible in the house, but it’s the most visible to ME, since I sit here for so many hours a day” <—– that’s what it’s all about.
and she sure did a beautiful job on those paintings!
I hope Bree didn’t stop to pee on the uh… oh n/m..
Well, collies do hail from Scotland…
The pictures look great in their frames!
Bree made me laugh today. She couldn’t care less about the formality, just goes about her business!
Pam, check out my blog when you can. You might see something you like.
Oh and I meant to mention…if you ever work on a photo that you just can’t seem to quite get Bree to look like she belongs, try making it black and white (desaturate) or sepia (desaturate with a layer over it that is opaque with a sepia color). It’s amazing how much the image changes.
I LOVE that picture of Zoe!
Thanks, Kim! I never thought of that…
QW: I do, too. It’s this one. I had it and some others printed out and framed them. Prolly too many…

Most dogs do, and it’s left to us to clean up after them…
i just love your site. Bree is to darn sweet!
I love the angel babies pictures right where they hang… Mine are by my station too. Isn’t that where they go though? Still keeping us company
Me too, Gwen. I think that’s where they belong.
Thanks, Heather!
