I think if she’d had more gas, it would have been irrelevant. He was hell bent. One way or another, he wanted to kill her.
I cannot express how horrified I am for them… and my utmost sympathy and prayers that they eventually are able to just even cope with her absence. I know they loved her dearly.
I’ve been thinking about her every day. What would have made the difference between life and death? If he was shooting at her while he followed in his car, then no, unless she got out onto the Sawgrass with a really fast car… no. More driving would have endangered even more people.
To keep herself alive she would have had to pull a weapon and kill him first, in the driveway. Of course, now she’d probably be in jail. But she’d be alive.
