Another one bites the dust.
Without giving us time to adjust to a new set of sins, the Southern Baptists announce that they have a “biblical duty to stop global warming”.
“We believe our current denominational resolutions and engagement with these issues have often been too timid,” according to the statement. “Our cautious response to these issues in the face of mounting evidence may be seen by the world as uncaring, reckless and ill-informed. We can do better.”
It’s all about political correctness. They may not believe in the cult of environmentalism themselves, but they sure as hell don’t want to “appear uncaring” to those misguided individuals and corporations who did drink the kool-aid.
Give me a break.
