I’m watching the only conservative in the race, Mitt Romney, making his best speech ~ever~ at CPAC. He’s passionate and engaged and looks less like a suit and more like a man who could lead our country. Unfortunately, this is the end of his campaign as he is dropping from the race. I could cry.

Alternately, RINO in the catbird seat John McCain tells conservatives to calm down.

“I do hope that at some point we would just calm down a little bit and see if there’s areas we can agree on…”

Areas we can agree on?? That statement, which should be aimed at liberals, was instead for fellow Republicans, and is very telling.
I’m with Pete. I cannot in good conscious vote for this man who wants open borders, amnesty, wants to close gitmo and fought tax cuts. A man with more radical liberal friends than conservative. Either this man is not a Republican or I have no idea what Republican means any more.

Pete:

“…Republican Party can compromise with anyone they want. If they ever decide to compromise with me, again, we’ll talk. But as long as getting along with Democrats is more important than getting along with me, it doesn’t look very good.”

Now I know what disenfranchised really means. I have no candidate in the race. And don’t tell me that I should vote for ‘maverick’ because of the supreme court nominees. A liberal will appoint liberals.

I repeat: There are no conservatives left in the race for President. Be afraid, be very afraid.
