Voting was no great hardship; I basically had to walk across the street. Republicans only, so it was deserted. 12 machines, no waiting. I spoke briefly with a woman holding a Mitt Romney sign, the only person standing out there, and it was the only sign touting a Presidential contender.

I liked that they asked for my driver’s license. Though anyone could have memorized and rattled off my address, I had to sign a receipt, and the signature was compared to the one on my DL. As closely as it was scrutinized, I get the feeling that had they not matched I would have been asked to leave. There were enough people there to escort me out, too. The parking lot was full, but the cars obviously all belonged to election volunteers.

If you are a Florida Republican, please vote today.
