Girl power has come of age; a woman is running for President. Hillary may very well win, unless more Kennedys crawl out of the woodwork. But the fact that she is a woman has no bearing on whether or not I will vote for her. I’m proud of us as a country. I’m proud of the women who came before us, fighting the good fight for equal wages and rights. As long as girl power is not obtained by stepping on the opposite sex, I’m in. Because, ya know… I love men.
Women are just as intelligent and capable as any man, and I’m proud that’s an accepted premise in 2008.
I hope to live long enough to see a woman President… because that means a little girl grew up to live her lofty dreams and nobody told her she couldn’t; that it just didn’t happen. Nobody will tell that girl that she would have to go to secretarial school or stay home with the kids while her husband went out and reeled in the ‘big clients’ and climbed the professional ladder to the top. There will be no glass ceiling for this girl, our future President to come.
That’s why I appreciate Girl Mogul apparel; nurturing girl’s dreams are their job and they do it very well, especially with shirts that sport positive, encouraging messages like ‘future leader of the free world’. Of course, I’d also like a blue shirt for boys that says the same thing.

But is Hillary really the right women to further “girl power”. In my opinion she’s hurting everything women have obtained at this point.
And in 5th grade (197something) I told my (male) teacher that I wanted to be President of the US and he told me I couldn’t because women are not allowed to be president.
