It’s business day here at pamibe! I have to admit, I like business. I like the selling, sure. Someone once told me that making a large sale is like really good s!x; the euphoria can be mind blowing. It’s true, but depending on frequency of the sales, the thrills can be few and far between. I love the marketing end of business that leads to the sales; it’s like a puzzle waiting to be put together. Get a piece wrong and there are no sales! Get one right and another door is open to you.
That’s one reason why I’ve always tried to have unique business cards that people will remember. While working for a large corporation chances are good the cards will be their logo and your name with ‘regional sales manager’ or some such title under it, but if you own your own business you can really get creative with your cards and make something a customer will remember. Your card isn’t just something you had out to be tossed into the trash, it shouldn’t have to simply introduce you. I know from experience that a great card will stay in view longer than a boring card, simply because it’s different or pleasing to the eye.
Your business card can serve as a flyer to be pinned on a bulletin board, a postcard to be mailed, a sample of your work, a ‘buy one get ten free’ card, a hangtag, a ticket, an appointment card… the ideas are endless.
I love artist’s business cards. I’ve managed to collect quite a few, simply because they’re pretty.

I couldn’t agree more….back YEARS ago, I used to make my cards into magnets..now everyone does that. But it was great cause it was always at eye level.
And in my mind, it goes beyond the paper cards. I consider my floor samples business cards also. That’s why I demand they be perfect. In all ways. It’s my signature.
Oh - and I LOVE that analogy between closin’ a good deal and s3x. Hahahaha. That just explains so much to me…..
