LOL - I hope you enjoy it! You’ve never had one? I thought it was the obligatory wedding present Mostly all I’ve made in mine is pot roast - which is always just fabulous (use chuck roast - it is excellent for a slow cooker - better than lots of expensive cuts!!!)

Anyhow, I just ordered a couple books on slow cooking from Amazon (cause I seem to collect cookbooks and only use one recipe from each… ever… I’ll let you know what I think of their recipes.

Oh, God, I couldn’[t survive without a crockpot. We use a cookbook called the Fix-it and Forget-it Cookbook. It has some excellent recipes, including one for a chuck roast covered in water, garlic powder, thyme, beef boullion, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and a bayleaf. It comes out so tender, you almost have to strain it out of the liquid. We then shred the beef, place it on sub rolls, cover it with thin-sliced provolone cheese, and place it under the broiler until the cheese melts. Use the juice left from the crock pot as an au jus and enjoy!
