Thanks to the inspiration and direction of bloggers Sissy, Teresa, Miz Sweetthing, Tammi and Leanne the diet is a success… and I haven’t even walked or worked out in two weeks! I realize the sedentary bit is nothing to brag about, but now that my body is changing and I feel so much better, I’ll be working in something every day.
I did have a small bag of nutter butters last night in celebration, but they didn’t really taste all that good. ![]()
What exactly did I celebrate, since I don’t own a scale and wouldn’t know if I’d even dropped a pound? The feeling. That elusive sensation of health and vitality.
I can’t pull one specific ‘rule’ out and say: “That’s it; that’s what the diet is all about!” because I incorporated something from everyone. I haven’t had alcohol. Tried to watch additives and buy organic. Smaller portions. I’ve learned my body loves lean meats and lots of veggies and fruits.
If there’s one mantra that kept going through my mind it’s: ‘Everything must count’. Lately I’ve broken that rule with goldfish crackers when I just had to have something and I’d tired of the usual snacks of apples, bananas, almonds, etc…
I’m going to go have a breakfast that will appease my wonky colon as well as my diet: organic steel cut oats. They don’t need anything on them, either; what a great flavor.
So, thanks everyone! I wish I had a number for you, but I don’t. I just feel better!

“The feeling. That elusive sensation of health and vitality.” Exactly. I’m wicked proud of you.
