71 year old John Lovell, of Plantation, Florida, was the only customer in the Subway on Pine Island Road last night when two punks walked in and tried to force him into the restroom to rob him…
Not uncommon in South Florida, but they picked on the wrong man this time. Mr. Lovell, who was legally carrying his gun, is a retired Marine. He pulled his weapon and shot both fools.
Police found a handgun used by the punks. No charges are expected to be filed against Mr. Lovell.
Punks: 0, Law abiding citizen: 1.
What really gets me about the story is almost at the end…
“Lovell is not expected to be charged, the spokesman said.”
That they even put this in is just scary.
