Granted I’m more than a little distracted, dealing with oozing pustules and itching that would set Mother Teresa’s teeth on edge, but I’ve yet to see the expected -and legitimate- outrage over the horror heaped upon us by the supremes a few days ago… Does this mean the decision could be overturned? And when it is, what’s going to happen to people who even NOW, already, are having their property taken from them in the name of civic improvement?
With Thursday’s Supreme Court decision, Freeport officials instructed attorneys to begin preparing legal documents to seize three pieces of waterfront property along the Old Brazos River from two seafood companies for construction of an $8 million private boat marina.
So, what do they plan to serve in the restaurant at that PRIVATE marina… Certainly not SEAFOOD, if they are running the seafood companies out?
I always knew that we didn’t really own our own property -just stop paying your taxes and find out how fast they’ll yank it out from under you- but this is horrid.

I totally agree. This is horrid. Perhaps a Constitutional Amendment on property rights would be more appropriate than one on the Flag.
