Sometimes politcal figures who take a shot at the Presidency fade into the background from which they sprang, never to be heard from again. Some, still immersed in politcal life, go on as before, but quietly.
Then there’s john kerry, the Anti-American military-socialist cum Senator who frightened us so badly by throwing his hat into the Presidential ring that we watch him still with trepidation, half afraid the viper’s head was not really cut off, but might regenerate.
[Like anyone didn't know how I felt about kerry.]
There are two bits of news about Mr. kerry today; he has signed form 180 which allows the release of his military records, but just hasn’t mailed it yet. Heh. If he didn’t do it last year during the uproar, I wonder what prompts the sudden pen flourish?
Also, in a scene reminiscent of last year’s more heated moments, the Senator lashed out at President Bush while in Orlando by going to the Bible. Sort of.
“I went back and reread the whole New Testament the other day. Nowhere in the three-year ministry of Jesus Christ did I find a suggestion at all, ever, anywhere, in any way whatsover, that you ought to take the money from the poor, the opportunities from the poor and give them to the rich people,”
He’s not answering questions about another run in 2008, but I can’t help but think that he can’t possibly be that foolish…

So, he signed it did he… I’ll believe it when I see the results.
And then he read the whole New Testament… in one day? He must be some kind of speed reader. I mean, the New Testament isn’t exactly short.
