Damn good thing Michael Schiavo isn’t related to the Pope. The pontiff can’t really speak intelligibly, requires a feeding tube and the outlook for a remarkable recovery at age 84 is remote. My sense is that Michael would shoot right in there with a court order to put John Paul in a windowless room and limit his visitors to medical personnel only. No therapy, no breathing tube and certainly not a feeding tube!

Unfortunately Terri doesn’t have a Vatican full of people to protect her. Funny how one life is so much more important than another.
