What do the little demons at the aclu have against Kentucky? Or, more specifically, Boyd County School District…
Story from WorldNetDaily
Almost a year ago the aclu successfully sued the school district for the right of a student group, the Gay-Straight Alliance, to meet on campus. The settlement included a provision that students, staff and teachers would be required to receive “tolerance training”.
The agreement stipulated all would attend “mandatory anti-harassment workshops,” including the viewing of an hour-long “training” video covering sexual orientation and gender identity issues for middle and high school students.
Here it is, 10 months later… and a third of the school’s students have failed to be indoctrinated see the video.
Seems like parents and children alike don’t really care to see the video.
District figures show 105 of 730 middle school students opted out of the training video and 145 of 971 high school students did likewise. On the day scheduled for training, 324 students didn’t show up for school.
The aclu maintains that it’s part of school curriculum, and must be taught. If parents don’t like it, take your kids out. Homeschool them, or send them to Religious school.
Public school has become State school. What your kids are fed is State sponsored material. Never mind that what you teach them at home and what they teach at school are two entirely different things. Never mind that people have to work and can’t possibly homeschool each and every child… and by the way… those are our TAX DOLLARS the aclu is telling us how to spend on OUR CHILDREN!
There are no parental rights anymore. There is zero tolerance for physical abuse, so if you want to swat little Johnny with a twig, you go to jail. There is zero tolerance for mental abuse, so if you make little Susie work after school for that prized iPod to teach her that not everything is free, you have damaged her little psyche! You monster! I see a long stint in the court system for you.
My really.really.really huge problem with this mess in particular: SEXUALITY.
So? You’re thinking. Sexuality is a part of us, like breathing or sweating. We are sexual beings.
In school the only sex that should be taught [IMO] is the difference between a male and female and how babies get here. The physiology of humans. How we are concieved. How we grow up. The big ‘circle of life’ stuff. Biology. That’s what I remember being taught, anyway.
Of course, that was before SEX ED, when kids would run home with “Daddy, your penis is used to make a baby!” The State schools took that away from you, too.
Let me state clearly, since I seem to ranting uncontrollably… I don’t care. I don’t give a crap if you have sex with donkeys, [but PETA might] leather, chain mail, a person of the opposite sex or a person of your own sex. What I do in private is my business and what you do in private is YOURS. Please, for the love of all that is holy, leave me out of it!
I’m so sick of homosexuals defining themselves by the fact that they have sex with people of their own gender, and proclaim it constantly, like we’re interested. Are they not mothers and fathers and CEOs and waitresses and Jewish and Catholic and shoppers and bloggers…? Being homosexual can’t possibly be the only thing by which they define themselves - so why does it feel like it to ME? Or do I just not understand the “gay culture”, which is what I’ve been told. It’s not just who you do, it’s an entire “culture” based on who you do.
Okaaaaay.
I’ved watched Will and Grace since it first started. It’s a funny half hour of gay bar and gay gym and gay Will and gay Jack and… yaknow. Gay. Grace is the requisite “fag hag”. Other than the glorious gay label, what’s left? Will’s a lawyer and Jack’s a bum. So? The show’s made funnier by virtue of the fact that everything seen by gay Jack is through his rose colored gay glasses. I’ve been told that this is not a caricature; it’s the real thing. Should I not be laughing?
A couple of years ago I saw so many blogs out there that had titles like “Sheila the lesbian” and “Gay Laura” [I'm making them up, of course. I can't remember the actual titles, nor would I post them here.]
I almost started calling myself “Straight Pam; the heterosexual blogger” in retaliation.
Which is why, when I saw Eric’s blog, the “Straight White Guy“, I loved him instantly, even before I read him.
Human beings are so many things; it just feels silly to me that some people wrap their entire being up in one thing. Or is that all they have?
The upshot of all this? I don’t have a clue, and I’m ranted out and wondering how many people are going to try tracking me down so they can beat me about the head and neck with a copy of Martha Stewart Living.
Oh, yeah. The ACLU sucks. That’s what I started off with. They’re trying to shove any and all “cultures” down our throat, unless it’s the one we started out with: Religion; Christianity in particular.
It’s clear voodoo.

I’m with you Pam. I don’t and never did understand it all.
